What’s-her-face s a woman — the one whose name is not spoken.
In this circus performance, Luiza Adjuto embodies and experiments with different stereotypes through her body, based on a research process that investigates the aerial hoop, dance, and interaction with objects.
Moving between threat, the risk of transformation, and mobility, the performance brings to the stage both the monstrosity and the beauty of womanhood as clues toward other possibilities of being in the world.
What's-Her-Face draws on the experience of immigration and raises questions about the marks of what we call the feminine, in a poetic artistic construction that connects with diverse audiences.
